Here is just a sampling of what we've got on this month's schedule, but we can never keep up with everything that's going on around here, so if there's something you're interested in doing, something new you want to learn, just give us a call here at the shop and we'll make it happen for you!
JULY 12 DPV SPECIALTY COURSE: There's not much you can do underwater that's more fun than this course AND it counts towards your Master Scuba Diver cert. This is a two dive specialty, so we'll start at 7 and finish up around noon. This course is also available on the 25th of July as well as August 1 & 2.
JULY 13 ADVENTURE DIVER CERTIFICATION: Two dives from the boat and one from shore today and you'll have your adventure certification - whoop! Come pick up the book, get your homework done for the deep, photo, and night dives, and we'll get 'er done!
JULY 15 ENDEMIC FISH OF HAWAII SPECIALTY: Maddy the Science Girl authored and got this specialty approved by PADI and this course is being offered with two dives from the Maui Diamond. Complete this course (which DOES count toward your Master Scuba Diver rating) and be among the first in the world to hold this certification!
JULY 16 & 18 ADVANCED OPEN WATER COURSE: You'll complete Navigation, Search and Recovery and Night dives on your first day (from shore). The second day of class will be from the Maui Diamond as you complete your Deep and Drift dives.
JULY 16 Emergency First Responder Whether you've taken this class before and just need to brush up on your skills or are taking it for the first time, this class is a must-do! Your current employer may require and sometimes even pay for it! We can get it done in about 4 hours and will be starting at 8:AM. $125. This certification is required for rescue diver students, so whether you're enrolled in a rescue class now or plan to do it in the not so distant future, this is the class you need.
JULY 16-17-18 RESCUE DIVER The first day of this class will be comprised of academic sessions covering first aid, CPR, emergency oxygen, and rescue academics. Don't worry - we know how to make it fun! The next two days we'll be in the water, role playing, learning and practicing skills and running through various scenarios. Wear plenty of sunscreen, as lots of the training takes place on the surface! Also, if you have current CPR and First Aid training (within the the past two years) that meets PADI standards, you may be able to skip this portion of the class.
ADVANCED OPEN WATER JULY 20-21 Day 1 will consist of Navigation, Peak Performance Buoyancy, and Night Dives from the shore. The next day, students will complete the Deep and UW Imaging dives from the Maui Diamond.
