DIVERS, PUMPKINS, AND PRIZES!

When:  Saturday, October 27th.  Briefing is at 8:AM, divers must be back on shore by 9:AM.

Where:  Keawakapu Beach, where South Kihei Road ends.

What to Expect: Get to the beach early to fnd parking and get your gear set up.  We will brief at 8:AM on the beach and then send you in to do your carving.  All divers must be back on shore no later than 9:AM.  Once back on shore, you can put any finishing touches on your creation and enter it in the category you have chosen to compete in.

Carving Categories:  Scarrrrriest, Sea Life, Celebrity, Pumpkin Purist, Tiki, and Pirate. Pumpkin Purist?  Yep, that category means that anything attached to your pumpkin must be made of pumpkin - no non-pumpkin props!

RULES:  All carving must happen underwater.  Contestants may not win in a category  theyve previously won.  Normal safe diving practices apply, certified divers only.  

Voting will begin at 9:AM and winners will be announces as soon as the votes have been tallied.  The pumpkn with the MOST votes, no matter what the category, wins "Best of Show".

Cost:  Maui Dreams has always hosted these events for gree and that's not going to change this year, but you do need to provide all your own supplies, carving implements and equipment, and remember to pre-clean your pumpkin!

How to sign up:  Bring this completed form to the shop to participate.  This event is for certified divers only.

Tips:   You should pick up your tanks on Friday afternoon as the shop will be closed from 8-10 on Saturday morning so that we can staff the event.  Also, be sure to check out the categories in advance and decide where you'll have the least competition or at least where your carving will fit in...and let your creativity flow!
